In the first week of this reporting period (7 May to 11 May) prices on the ICE 11 futures market dropped to a 20-month low. Read more
Since developing the 2012 season’s pooling products, we have had further feedback that there was a need for a pool that provided a mechanism for QSL to price on behalf of industry participants beyond the current season alone. Read more

April 2012

Prices fell during this reporting period as a bearish sentiment flowed through the market. Read more
The US Government recently announced an increase of approximately 380,000 tonnes in raw sugar imports to the US falling under their tariff-rate quota (TRQ) system. Read more
Prices on the global market declined slightly during the first week of this reporting period (26 to 30 March) and funds and speculators were buyers, increasing their net long positions, as the May’12 contract fell. Read more

March 2012

The market rallied during the first week of this reporting period (12 to 16 March), with the May’12 contract pushing above recent levels to reach a high of US25.68c/lb. Read more
